Computerized, 3D and manual engraving techniques are used in addition to our laser systems to engrave metals and plastics in all shapes and sizes. Mechanical engraving, also known as rotary engraving, can be used for part identification, traceability, graphics, logos, and serialization. Typical applications include day/night control panels and buttons, electronic and control panels, manufacturers’ plates, nameplates, and mold inserts ranging from small sections to a gallon marker measuring 1’ by over 7’ engraving .080” deep. Depth can be controlled to within .001” and the engraved area can be backfilled in any color.
Using one of our rotary systems, we can also engrave on cylindrical surfaces. Materials engraved include aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, brass, Monel, plastics, and more.
